This page houses everything you need to know as an Eighth Grade Raider! We will use this page to post updates and reminders about anything and everything related to eighth grade at Riverdale and your future at Houston High School. 

Friday, May 8, - 8th Grade Field Day, 10:30am-12:30pm

Monday, May 18 - Graduation Practice, 9:30 – 11:00am
Please be on time for school! We will begin boarding buses at 8:45.
Students will travel to Grace Evan by bus from Riverdale.

Monday, May 18 – 8th Grade Picnic, 11:30am at Riverdale
Parents are welcome to attend. 

Tuesday, May 19 – Graduation, 6:30 pm Grace Evangelical Church, 9750 Wolf River Blvd. 38139

• 4:30pm Band/Choir/Orchestra Arrive 
• 5:30pm Doors Open for Families to Enter
• 6:00pm Graduates Meet in the Holding Area to Line Up
• 6:30 pm Graduation Program Begins

No tickets needed, no limit to attendees!
Attire for the ceremony includes modest dresses for the girls (school dress-code length) and dress shirts, ties, and slacks for the boys, with sport coats optional. Boys’ shirts should be tucked in. No jeans, please.  School dress code applies to graduation attire. Caps and Gowns will not be worn.
Videos/photographs will not be taken of the ceremony/students, so please make arrangements to capture your child’s moment(s) accordingly.

Please refrain from yelling or applauding as students’ names are being called and certificates are presented. 

We look forward to celebrating our 8th graders!
